A portal and an altar, this piece stands as an offering and an evidence of those who intervene when life collapses in on itself, bending time as an act of love so that true healing becomes possible.

This work rearranges the hierarchy of gods and kings so that the mythic act belongs to women, to friendship, to the collective force of holding one another through transformation. It expands what counts as myth from otherworldly to intimate, from divine to domestic, and from ancient to now.

The title gestures toward the higher and happier ground reached through overcoming with the help of our homegirls. Every detail of this piece carries the record of that story as it fortifies into myth, shaped by my hands and by the unseen ones who steady them.
