I’ve Been Moonlighting As A Jug
A benevolent observer that hurled itself through the first Earthward portal it could find: a spiral of mud, rocking to the will of two strong and nimble hands.
Eager to arrive on the multiverse’s most adorable planet as anything, really, it allowed the hands to squeeze out every vestige of its formlessness. This observer, in protest of its siblings back home, vowed to never be intoxicated by their kind’s long tradition of neutrality.
Finally complete and revelling in the pettiness of earthly life, our observer grew infatuated by the ways of the humans. Slowly, yet still recklessly, it too began to accessorise itself with desires. If it could, it would wear jeans.
